The Name's the Same ran from December 1951 to October 1955 and was another oddball variant of "What's My Line?", a 20-questions type of show in which the gimmick was that the contestants' real names were the same as celebrities, places, things, etc. Thus Woodrow Wilson, Virginia Beach, A. Mule, Will Bathe, etc., ad absurdum.
As on What's My Line every show had an appearance by a celebrity guest, and the gimmick here was that the guest had a secret ambition ("Who I'd Like To Be--just in fun, of course") or a "secret wish", and the panelists had to guess the secret.
