Times
Hard Bass is on Saturday the 11th of February from 22:00 and close at 07.00. The show starts at 23:00. Make sure you arrive at the GelreDome on time so you won’t miss a minute of the show!

Entrances
Important! An entrance (E, Q or VIP) is indicated on your ticket, so make sure you enter through this door. You will not be admitted through any other entrance than the one shown on your ticket.

Anthem, CD & DVD
Just like previous editions a special 4 CD will be released during Hard Bass. From every team one artist has been selected who is responsible for the CD mix. This time the DJ’s are The Pitcher, Luna, Frontliner and Chris One. The CD will be available for purchase from Free Record Shop stand during the evening. As the night progresses, video footage will be recorded and this live recording of the party will be released on DVD a few weeks after the event. Keep an eye on the b2s website for further information!

Merchandise
A special line of merchandise has been designed especially for this edition of Hard Bass which is for sale at the b2s merchandise stand! They accept cash and debit cards.

b2s television
Thursday before the event, a special will be broadcasted about the preparations and set-up of Hard Bass. So keep a close eye on http://www.b2s.nl and stay tuned!

Hard Bass livestream
Hard Bass will be broadcast live via b2s radio, from 21:00 to 07:00. You can listen to this live broadcast on the b2s website, http://www.b2s.nl.

Weather
Temperatures can be quite chilly outside during the night of the Hard Bass event, so make sure you bring something warm to wear during your trip to and from the event.

Lockers
Lockers will be available for hire at the entrance hall of the GelreDome. These can be used to store coats and bags. Lockers can be hired at a fee of 6 Euros plus a 5 Euro deposit. This deposit will be returned to you when you return the key. One locker will fit three coats, so share with your friends. You will not have access to your locker during the event, it is possible for VIP’s.

Smoking
Inside the Gelredome smoking is prohibited. Smoking is only permitted outdoors under the Eastern grandstand, where a heated tent will be set up for your comfort.

Drugs
The organization conforms to the local policy of the Arnhem police department. This is a ‘ zero-tolerance’ policy. Be careful what you bring with you; thorough searches will be performed under police supervision.

Cameras
Everyone is allowed to bring along camera’s, as long as it is for own use.

Identification
The minimum age is 18. In the event of doubt, guests may be asked to produce identification proving their age. Please bring valid proof of identification with you so that you do not risk being refused entry on the basis of your age. Valid proof of identification includes a driving permit, valid passport, or identity card. Please bear in mind you may also be asked to present identification at the bar.

Parking
Various car parks will be open for the event which provide ample parking facilities for visitors. Follow the signs marked “Parkeren Gelredome”. For more information and the route, please visit the website http://www.gelredome.nl.

Public transport
The Gelredome is very easily accessible by public transport. If you are traveling by train, go to Arnhem central station, and continue by shuttle bus to the Gelredome. A round-trip ticket for the shuttle bus may be purchased at the station. For the return trip on Sunday 12 February, the NS (Dutch Railways) will be running extra and longer trains. Carpool – Ride here, right now
On RIDEHERE.NL, you can find a carpool date to Hard Bass! Sign up, set up a carpool date and save money and the environment. Free parking passes will be raffled off among those who sign up.

Coach
If you do not have your own means of transport, you can reserve a ticket for one of the Event Travel coaches to Hard Bass. If you have arranged for a private coach, you can sign up for a parking space via rbakker@gelredome.nl, in an email with ‘aanmelding touring car Hard Bass’ in the subject line. This is also the address coach companies can send e-mails to to receive detailed information on directions to the venue and practical tips. The fee for parking a coach in the car park is 40 Euros.

The Second Summer of Love is a name given to the period in 1988-89 in Britain, during the rise of acid house music and the euphoric explosion of unlicensed MDMA (ecstasy)-fuelled rave parties.^[1] The term generally refers to the summers of both 1988 and 1989^[2]^[3] when electronic dance music and the prevalence of the drug MDMA fuelled an explosion in youth culture culminating in mass free parties and the era of the rave. LSD was also widely available and popular again. The music of this era fused dance beats with a psychedelic, 1960s flavour, and the dance culture drew parallels with the hedonism and freedom of the Summer of Love in San Francisco two decades earlier. Similarities with the Sixties included fashions such as Tie-dye. The smiley logo is synonymous with this period in the UK.

A Midsummer Night's Rave is a film adapted from Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream released in 2002. It is set at a rave instead of in a forest, like the original.

A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S RAVE, by the estimable Gil Cates, Jr., is an interesting, original, provocative take on Shakespeare's timeless A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM-all the more so because Cates (who is a director to watch for in the future) has the effrontery to keep but the barest skeleton of the original plot--i.e.,two sets of mismatched couples-Oberon and Titania-Bottom and the "players"----all the while deciding to take it in more daring, unexpected directions than the Immortal Bard ever intended. While previous versions---(Brook's, Branagh's, etc.) stressed the pastoral, dark aspects of the play--along with keeping the fates of the characters exactly as Shakespeare wrote it--Cates decides to add homosexuality and a scary-yet-funny drug dealer to the mix! Plus, Elena--("Helena" in the play)--ends up doing something totally different than the play! (No equivalents of Theseus and Hyppolita, for that matter).

Truly, this movie is not for purists. Yet the cinematography is great, the decor and setting are funky-love the van Nick and his friends drive!-the music fits the spirit and setting (a rave) the actors are good-looking and fresh--I especially enjoyed Chad Lindberg as the "Bottom" character-(goofy Nick, who goes comically, spectacularly off-the-wall after ingesting some of Puck's "love potion") and Nichole Hiltz as the "Titania" character, Britt---their "fate" is charmingly quite different than the play and is particularly satisfying to those of us who think they make a great romantic "couple." I also enjoyed Jason Carter as the devious, poetry-spouting O.B. John, and Lauren German as the quirky, pixie-like Elena.

Not everybody will quite take to the casual drug use---but if one is willing to stick with the movie one will realize that the drug subplot helps make one of the points of the movie---these young people have been trying to drown their concerns and desires in drug and hedonistic partying--instead of confronting these concerns and desires head on and be themselves. They realize that one does not need to use drugs to feel happy and love. Ultimately honesty and love are the greatest drugs of all. The dialogue between Andrew Keegan (Xander) and Sunny Mabrey (Mia) perfectly illustrates this.

Not a lot of plot---but if one is in "vibe" with the spirit of the movie--and is interested in the phenomenon of raves---this is a must see!
