This ABC Pilot starred a group of teenagers in a 80's style Laugh-in clone. The show is a series of short filmed vignettes that explore the light and dark side of teenage thoughts.
The Best of times introduces Crispin Glover (Willard, What is it?) as the show's narrator of sorts, and he's great in it. Funny, corny, and awkward as hell.
It also stars Jill Schoelen (Popcorn, The Stepfather) I honestly can't say which one she is, but I've seen a bunch of the movies she's been in so she seems worth mentioning here.
Nicolas Cage (Wild at Heart, Face/Off) plays "Nic" the show's resident lovable dumb guy which he somehow manages to play with some serious menace.
Crispin: Being a teenager is a lot of different things. We're not kids anymore, and we're not adults yet. Sometimes it's a lot of fun, a little scary, sometimes it's beautiful. Everything's so new. I guess that's why we get a little wild, or crazy, or lonely. But, before you know it one day you wake up and there you are. You're 20.
