Soul Clap says "Jack Your Body"

We rarely stoop to such vulgar levels, but we'll go ahead and say it: Soul Clap fucking rules. Not only did the Boston Dj team take a moment from their insane schedule to curate a special Live Music Show, they also took a break from WMC to answer a few questions. Their new album "EFUNK" comes out on April 20th.

Network Awesome: We asked you to make a selection of your favorite House Music videos, and you did a freaking brilliant job, did you guys have fun with it?

Soul Clap:Of course we had fun. I mean who doesn't like clicking around youtube and watching stupid videos!

NA: Your selection of videos ranges from old to new just like your music, do you think that reflection on the past is a natural part of house music?

Soul Clap: Yes. You see, no one man owns house because house music is a universal language, spoken and understood by all. You see, house is a feeling that no one can understand really unless you're deep into the vibe of house. House is an uncontrollable desire to jack your body. And, as I told you before, this is our house and our house music.

NA: You have a few Berlin videos in here - and we're in Berlin too - do you think the house music scene in Berlin is particularly different than in other places?

Soul Clap: Berlin is very special. Because there is personal responsibility instead of oppressive laws, it's the only city in the world where the party never ends. This environment is perfect for dance music because you need to stay up all nite to really get in the groove.

NA: Let's finish this off with a question about your new album. It's a steamy, cosmic affair - care to tell people what's in store on April 20th?

Soul Clap: The album is a culmination of our entire lives with music. This music is totally different than what we would put on an EP. It's not designed for DJs or dancefloors, but we wanted it to be something we would have put on in high school while we were chilling with homies, cutting class or trying to kick it to a chick.
