Airing between 1989 and 1991 as part of NBC's Saturday morning cartoon lineup, Captain N: The Game Master follows Kevin and his dog Duke who, after being sucked through an inter-dimensional warp portal, finds himself in the fictional universe of Nintendo video games. Armed only with a Zapper and a supercharged NES controller, and joined by Nintendo heroes, including Mega Man, Pit from Kid Icarus and Simon Belmont of Castlevania, Kevin sets off to help Princess Lana rescue her father and save Videoland.
