"Energy is all that matters in music. Sometimes it comes from the excitement of the performers. Sometimes it manifests through a brilliant arrangement. Whatever the case, it is this energy that takes the audience out of the profanity of their daily lives and elevated them into something almost supernatural. Something sacred. In this selection of live vids, I wanted to show how limitless the range of energy expressions can be. From the energy of 2 Live Crew breaking taboo's on a white suburban talk show to Van Hallen's fully decadent display of their whiteness. Rainbow Blanket showing us the thrills of being teenagers without any musical rules to live by. Captain Ahab hand delivering some of the most sophisticated musical arrangements to a bunch of crusty punks in a filthy Oakland warehouse. Energy. Get into it!"
